Gluten Free Doughnuts

Ever since becoming gluten-free I have been on the hunt of finding some doughnut alternative that lives up to the normal kind! I found an original recipe for Cinnamon Sugar Doughnut recipe by @glutenfreealice which I have adapted!

Ingredients

  1. 150g Gluten Free Self-Raising Flour

  2. 1/2tsp GF Baking Powder

  3. 110g Caster Sugar

  4. 120ml Almond Milk (or Alternative)

  5. 2 Medium Eggs

  6. 1 1/2 tbsp Vegetable Oil

  7. 1tsp Vanilla Extract

  8. For the toppings, sprinkles or sugar.

  9. Spray the doughnut tray with non-stick spray.

  10. Add flour, sugar and baking powder to a bowl and mix.

  11. Separately whisk the milk, eggs, oil and vanilla extract.

  12. Add these two together and mix.

  13. Add the batter to the tray to about half-way.

  14. Bake in the oven at 180 degrees C for 12 minutes.

  15. Leave the doughnuts to cool on a wire rack and bake the last batch of mixture.

  16. Once both batches are cool, cover with icing/butter and add the toppings of your choice!
