Iāve never made gluten-free chocolate doughnuts before but decided to give them a go! I used my regular recipe but added much more cocoa powder and mint aero! They turned out pretty well I think š The recipe is here!!š©š© Iāve also filmed my first ever reel on Instagram so go check it out!!
Ingredients
150g Gluten Free Self-Raising Flour
1/2tsp GF Baking Powder
1/2tsp GF Xanthan Gum
15g Cocoa Powder
110g Caster Sugar
120ml Milk (or Alternative)
2 Medium Eggs
1 1/2 tbsp Vegetable Oil
1tsp Vanilla Extract
For the icing you will need icing sugar, cocoa powder, a splash of water and a bar of mint aero chocolate!
Spray the doughnut tray with non-stick spray.
Add flour, sugar, xanthan gum and baking powder to a bowl and mix.
Separately whisk the milk, eggs, oil and vanilla extract.
Add these two together and mix.
Add the batter to the tray to about half-way.
Bake in the oven at 180Ā°C for 10-12 minutes when they start becoming golden brown on the top.
Leave the doughnuts to cool on a wire rack and bake the last batch of mixture.
Once both batches are cool, itās time to add your icing.
For the icing, add sifted icing sugar and cocoa powder to a bowl and continue to add water until the right consistency is reached. The icing is better being thicker for these doughnuts.
After spooning the mixture over the doughnuts, add your crushed aero bar and viola!
